Perfect Retreat

We (my husband, two year old daughter and myself) just returned from a week long stay in Cape May. The Rose Suite exceeded our expectations. The weather was unseasonably cold, windy and rainy. We found ourselves snuggled up watching movies, playing and cooking. It is located in the heart of great restaurants, shopping and ice cream! We took advantage of a carriage ride, mini golf and coffee each morning (all walking distance from the Rose Suite). We loved Cape May and hope to come back for a sunnier stay!

Perfect vacation getaway!

This was our 1st time staying in the Rose suite and it was such a wonderful place to stay, enough room for 4 people, updated and very clean which I appreciated so much. The location is ideal - right near shops, restaurants and the beautiful beach. We did not use our car the entire trip because of the perfect location. We have such great memories now staying in the Rose suite. Thank you so much Beverly!

A Lovely Retreat!

We stayed at the Rose Suite for a weekend, with a total of 3 adults and 2 children. The property was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. There were pillows and linens readily available, and we appreciated the well-thought-out conveniences of things like coat racks and night lights. It was handy to have a back door directly to the parking lot, and the Puffin's location is fantastic!

Fall Season Cape May Vacation at the "Rose" Suite

My husband, daughter and I spent our week of vacation in the Rose Suite this year for the first time. We really loved the condo. It was very modern and updated inside and maintained that old Victorian charm on the outside. It was the perfect location for our stay. It was so close to the beach as well as the shopping and restaurants. We parked the car in our spot on check in day and walked everywhere we wanted to go for the entire week. We have been coming to Cape May for years and this is by far our favorite place. We look forward to our stay next year!

Two Wonderful Weeks at the Rose Suite

My family and I spent two weeks in Cape May this month at the Rose Suite Condo and had a wonderful experience. First of all, the location of the condo is unparalleled. It is literally on the best street for both beach and Washington square access and it really makes you feel like you are in a Victorian beach town. Everyone seems to be walking around with ice cream as there are some great ice cream shops right there. Really fun people watching from the Puffin House front porch which is delightful. The condo itself is very sweet with two bedrooms and a kitchen/ living space ample for 4. We had 5 of us one night and made due with an air mattress in the space. To be honest, one night of that was enough. The rest of the time it was 3 of us adults and it was great, then one night of 4 and that worked well also. The one full bath is new and large with a shower only, and that can be augmented by the outdoor shower which we took advantage of. Beverly, the owner is easy to communicate with and answered our questions in a timely and considerate way. She is very assessable. We highly recommend Puffin House Rose Suite for a fun stay in Cape May!

Family Vacation & 40th Birthday

Cape May has always been one of our favorite, special places to visit for vacation. So when I asked my wife what she would like to do for her 40th birthday this year, she said she would like to bring our family and her prarents to Cape May. When I found the Rose Condo available for the week of July 4th, I couldn't believe my eyes. I right away reached out to owners of the Rose Condo. Beverly was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She made the process of reserving the condo very simple. Our family vacation and celebrating my wife's 40th was amazing. The condo was spacious, offered all of the amenities you would need such as full new modern bathroom with a stand up shower, full service kitchen, 2 large bedrooms and a cozy living room. It had everything we needed. We had my wife, my 3 year old daughter, our 3 month old twins and my in laws. The condo never seemed crowded! The condo is located in the heart of Cape May on the most beautiful street in the city, Jackson Street. You are in walking distance of everything. We never had to drive anywhere. The Washington Street mall is a few steps away to the left with shops and restaurants and the beach is also a few steps away to the right. You are in the middle of everything. We are very thankful to have found the Rose Condo and have built a relationship with the owners. Growing up, my parents took me to Cape May every summer to vacation. Now I can certainly do the same with my children while staying at the Rose Condo. We absolutely loved our stay and we will certainly be back! One last thing, make sure to check out the outside shower! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

Great Historic Location

My family, with a teenager, loved the Rose Suite. It was our first stay at the Puffin House. The suite was updated and clean and came with a fully stocked kitchen. There was an outdoor shower and a beautiful updated bathroom. Jackson Street has some of the oldest and most beautiful Victorian homes in Cape May. The beautiful street is lined with the original gas street lights. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the horse and carriages walk by while sipping wine. We were just a few houses away from the shops and the beach so we rarely needed to use our car. Other family members would meet at our place to start or end the evening. We will definitely stay in the Rose suite again. We would highly recommend it. Our Family Getaway!

My husband and I are huge fans of Cape May. We come down every year for our anniversary and decided this year to do a family trip as well. After searching for the perfect place for our family I happened upon the Rose Suite at the Puffin House. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Rose Suite! It was the perfect getaway for our family. It is centrally located between the beach and shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the porch whether we were eating breakfast or watching the horse and carriages go by. The suite itself was the perfect size for our family of 5. It is the perfect combination of modern updates mixed with Victorian charm. We cannot wait to go back next year!

The Perfect Location

We had a really nice stay at the Rose Suite. The unit was very clean and updated. All the rooms were a nice size, perfect for our small family (2 adults and 2 small children)- child friendly. We really enjoyed the front porch, it was nice and big and we didn't mind sharing it with guests in the other suites. There was plenty of comfortable seating, and it was nicely lit at night. The house is so close to the beach and shops, so we felt that we were right in the middle of it all. It was really easy to book the suite with Bev, she was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this suite, and I would stay here again!

Loved every minute

This was my first time visiting Cape May and I could not have asked for a better stay. The Puffin Suites are in an ideal location. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops. You can literally park the car and enjoy your vacation. The Rose Suite was adorable. It was very clean and neat. I loved how easy it was to enter and exit the suite. Bev was outstanding from my initial booking through my entire stay. She was always available to answer any and all my questions. The front porch was an added bonus to this already excellent rental. It allowed you to relax in the morning with your coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the late afternoon. This was an incredible stay and I will certainly be booking this rental again. I would highly recommend this location and this suite.

Love this place!

This was our fourth year staying at the Puffin Rose Suite and as always, it was perfect. My daughter and her husband and 7 month old baby stayed with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. We especially liked the new couch in the living room. Everything is within walking distance. It's a wonderful place to stay and we'll be back again!

Rose Suite very comfortable, pleasing suite.

The Rose Suite in the Puffin House was a very comfortable, pleasing suite. My sister and I had a great week. The location is the best. You can walk to everything. Shopping was a breeze, as we could take our bags back to the Puffin and go back to shopping. When at the beach, the easy walk back to the Puffin to eat lunch, then back to the beach. The big beautiful front porch with comfortable furniture was also great. We brought our coffee & breakfast food to the porch to enjoy. Also in the evening our cheese & crackers & wine were enjoyed as well. Rose suite has all the amenities you need, cool & comfortable. Thanks Beverly for a beautiful comfortable Victorian Suite. We will be back.

Very Good Cape May Gem

The Rose Suite at the Puffin is a wonderful venue at a competitive reasonable price . It has everything one needs to provide for a great home away from home. The master bedroom is wonderful with its five windows adorned with lovely lace curtains and oak furniture. The overhead fan really does a fantastic job cooling off the room. Because of the windows the room is very comfortable. We did not use the other bedroom except for the closet and dresser; it has one window and an overhead fan. It too is a pretty room which is smaller than the master bedroom. The living area has an extremely comfortable sectional and a TV. That room has two windows and an overhead fan. We ate out most of the time ,however, you can cook if need be. It really was perfect for us (2) . The condo is immaculate- cleaner than clean. That means so much. Also the central air works very well and cools the place quickly. Look at the website and checkout the photos. They are true to form. The Puffin has a large front porch with lots of comfortable seating. I loved sitting out there people watching, reading , or using the computer because there are electrical outlets. The lovely porch is a big draw for us. We love it. The house is extremely close to the beach and the pedestrian mall. Across the street there is a wonderful restaurant, The Mad Batter, which is very good. The breakfasts are great. Tisha's restaurant is very good and very close. Cape May has fantastic restaurants;you can't go wrong . Most are within walking distance. Parking is a must at any venue, and the suite has its own parking spot in the back. Navigating getting out is quite a trick, however, other parking is offered a short two blocks down the road. That is perfect. I believe that the condo is more suited for three people, but four would be manageable. It was perfect for the two of us. It really is a great condo. I would have liked more room in the living area, but again it was perfect for two or three. Going to Cape May is like going home and the Rose is an ideal shore condo; I know that we will rent again next year. I can't wait to go back. It may have to be before next summer. Try it you won't be disappointed. It's a Cape May keeper!!!!!

“Cape May Fall Get Away Weekend”

We spend a long weekend the end of September in Cape May at the Puffin "Rose Suite." The "Rose Suite" is a two bedroom, nicely furnished, fully equipped kitchen, suite on the second floor of a beautiful Victorian home. The master bedroom is large, with a comfortable bed, and it has a front view to the street. We ended up not needed the second bedroom, but it was nice to have additional space. This suite gave us views to all sides of the house. That added to the spacious and home-like feel. After walking to dinner at a nearby restaurant, we enjoyed spending time relaxing on the wrap around porch with a glass of wine. We shared the space with other house guests and enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. The Puffin is perfectly located between the beach and the cute downtown area. It is a short block walk to either location. Restaurants of all types are located on Jackson Street, in the downtown area, and along the beach. We were able to walk everywhere (beach, restaurants, and shopping). If you have bikes bring them. We enjoyed a bike ride to the lighthouse on Cape May Point and the surrounding areas. It gets a bit crowded riding in town and getting out in the open country was nice. We attended the Sea Glass Exhibit that was held at the Convention Center during the weekend we visited. That was a nice addition to our stay. We will definitely be coming back to Cape May to stay at the "Rose Suite." Bev was so easy and helpful to work with. It was a perfect suite for my husband and myself. This was our first visit to the area and it was a fun Fall get away.

“great location, great suite

This lovely suite is located directly across the street from the Virginia Hotel. This means it is incredibly convenient to the beach, the mall, bike rentals, and many restaurants and shops. The suite has two very nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and a living area containing a full, small kitchen. There is parking on-site but the spaces are tight so bring a small car. You can park your car off-site but you will need to walk two blocks to the car. We love Cape May, have stayed here at least 75 times, and this was probably the nicest suite and location we have ever rented. We stayed in the shoulder season and you might hear some street noise during the busy summer season. It was not a problem in early June.

Rose Suite a Rose of a Place

We stayed for the week of June 22. The suite was everything advertised. Very nice touches and all the charm of Victorian Cape May. The location was fantastic. Right across from the Virginia Hotel and Mad Batter. The houses on the street are all different and interesting. The porch of the Puffin was very welcoming and we spent our mornings there people watching. The porch has chairs, table and sofas and many ceiling fans for comfort and lots of hanging baskets of flowers. The suite came with 5 beach tags and parking for two cars-- one spot behind the Puffin and the other a short walk to the public parking lot. There is an outside shower and under the porch beach chairs that were available for us to use. The Rose Suite is on the second floor but an easy climb. The stairs are carpeted with oriental rugs and we did not hear noise from our neighbors at all. We were in Cape May for a wedding at Congress Hall which is one block away, so close that during the reception I walked back to get my cell phone charger and use the facilities, and it was probably quicker than the time I would have had to wait in line to use the ladies room at Congress Hall. So many really good places for breakfast, lunch and dinner are within one block, including Georges, Hot Dog Tommys, the Ebbitt Room, Mad Batter, Tish's. YB Eats to name a few. We called the owners for help getting onto their wifi and found them very responsive and helpful. We rented our lines through them and that was just great, nice towels and no need to pack bulky items. The kitchen had a full sized refrigerator and stove, dishwasher, microwave. The cabinets were generously stocked. I highly recommend the Rose Suite at Puffin.

Great cozy place to stay

Spent a girls' getaway weekend in the Rose Suite with my 3 best friends this past weekend (10/11-13) and we had a blast. The suite was so adorable and suited us perfectly and the location could not have been better with shopping and restaurants a block away or even as close as just across the street! The downstairs neighbors were helpful with restaurant suggestions and where to park (try to avoid parking a large SUV in the spot behind the house - it is a tight fit but can be made easy if your friends are great at helping navigate out of it!). The suite was super clean and the pullout couch was so unbelievably comfortable! Everything about our weekend was perfect except for the weather that did not cooperate (rainy and windy our entire stay) but we had a fantastic time anyway. Will definitely book the Rose Suite again!

wonderful birthday get=away

It was a wonderful birthday get=away for me (76 and daughter 540) Beautiful suite, met three owners considering a combination for an extended family time another year also considering returning in second week of September for possibly four days, maybe a week for our anniversay of 56 years! and/or Birthday celebration weekend around early October... We enjoyed our stay very much. the beds were great; the little kitchen area quite nice very clean. I especially loved the Victorian furniture and decor having grown up in a large Victorian house in Md with 13 rooms with Victorian furniture.so being at the Puffin House reminded us of my chldbood home. We love the Puffin House. Loved the veranda, wicker, flowers and jackson street! we will be in touch a bit later when we have come down off our Cape May "Puffin Cloud" This was a great mother/daughter celebration with Dad along to share it with. Wonderful Stay at the Rose Suite

We had the pleasure of staying for a long weekend at the Rose Suite. It has the right amount of Victorian feel with contempary style. It felt like a home away from home. When they say it's located in the heart of Cape May, they're correct. It's on beautiful Jackson St. and couldn't be at a better location to the beach and resturants/shopping. We would certainly recommend to anyone and hope to make it back again soon. The Noel's from Gettysburg, Pa

Rose Suite is a perfect getaway!

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at the Rose Suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was again the perfect place to land for a weekend beach getaway. The suite is spacious, has an updated bathroom and kitchenette and is very bright and full of light. I personally love the huge front porch of the house to relax and read. Plus the location is perfect--1/2 block to the beach, 1/2 block to town. You can't beat it. Beverly, the owner, was very sweet and accommodating and available for anything we needed or had questions about. We will definitely be returning!

We loved our stay at the Puffin

We loved our stay at the Puffin and the location could not have been better. We were charmed each day by the hustle and bustle of being located so close to town, and were grateful to be minutes from the beach given we had to deal with two little ones and nap times, etc. We all enjoyed the great food at the local restaurants as well as the option of grilling at "home." And the Rose Suite itself was beautifully maintained and decorated, had all of the modern amenities we needed balanced with a warm and homey feel. Having two little kids, we had to stay at home each evening, but enjoyed doing so because the accommodations were so comfortable and charming. And we couldn't thank Mike enough for making us feel so welcome. The final point of validation was that my son was so sad to leave, he cried wishing that we lived at the Puffin. :)

“Our first visit to Cape May”

Our stay at the Rose Suite at the puffin house could have not been any more memorable and special. The house is incredibly charming and comfortable. It's a delightful two bedroom suite that takes you back to the 1900s with the comfort and space of the 21 st century. It's also perfectly located on Jackson ave....a half block away from the peaceful beache...you can almost smell the ocean....and half a block away from all the best shops, retautants, and cafe that CM has to offer! This was our first trip to exit 0 and we experienced the best that this beach town has to offer. This will be the first of many more visits!
