Beautiful Rose Suite in beautiful Cape May

We were lucky enough to stay in the Rose Suite at The Puffin Suites in Cape May recently. How beautiful! Not only did the weather cooperate with us, but our surroundings were just lovely! The suite had everything we needed and was so cozy, we felt very much at home! We’ve already rebooked for next year and can’t wait! C and T Hughes

Puffin House -Rose Suite

Our vacation ended yesterday and we are already signed up for the same week in 2023! Rose Suite is located just steps from the beach on the east and a block west to the shops. The fabulous porch allowed us to enjoy the horse and carriages go bye along with people passing. A great place for sipping coffee, tea and wine and reading and simply visiting. The condo was well appointed and immaculate. On site parking was a huge plus. Our hostess, Bev, is quick to return calls and answer our questions.

Our annual home away from home!

The Rose Suite at The Puffin has been our summer home-away-from-home for the past four years, and we look forward to many more years to come. The Puffin is centrally located on Jackson Street between the beach and all the shops/restaurants Cape May has to offer. Literally one block east is the beach and one block west is Washington Street Mall (the quaint center of shopping and eating in Cape May.) The Rose Suite in The Puffin is perfect for our family with two comfortable bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, and full-size kitchen. This allows us to eat out when we want and cook when we want. Both are complimented by relaxing on the large front porch of The Puffin at any time of the day. I highly recommend the Rose Suite at The Puffin for your family's stay in Cape May.

Wonderful long weekend!

We had such an enjoyable long weekend stay at the Rose Suite! It was tastefully decorated and felt homey upon entering. We were there for a mother daughter weekend and it was so nice to have our own bedrooms, but a common area to watch movies and tv on. The location is perfect for strolling to the beach, or to the mall area with a ton of shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay!

Two Wonderful Weeks at the Rose Suite

My family and I spent two weeks in Cape May this month at the Rose Suite Condo and had a wonderful experience. First of all, the location of the condo is unparalleled. It is literally on the best street for both beach and Washington square access and it really makes you feel like you are in a Victorian beach town. Everyone seems to be walking around with ice cream as there are some great ice cream shops right there. Really fun people watching from the Puffin House front porch which is delightful. The condo itself is very sweet with two bedrooms and a kitchen/ living space ample for 4. We had 5 of us one night and made due with an air mattress in the space. To be honest, one night of that was enough. The rest of the time it was 3 of us adults and it was great, then one night of 4 and that worked well also. The one full bath is new and large with a shower only, and that can be augmented by the outdoor shower which we took advantage of. Beverly, the owner is easy to communicate with and answered our questions in a timely and considerate way. She is very assessable. We highly recommend Puffin House Rose Suite for a fun stay in Cape May!

Family Vacation & 40th Birthday

Cape May has always been one of our favorite, special places to visit for vacation. So when I asked my wife what she would like to do for her 40th birthday this year, she said she would like to bring our family and her prarents to Cape May. When I found the Rose Condo available for the week of July 4th, I couldn't believe my eyes. I right away reached out to owners of the Rose Condo. Beverly was so easy to work with and very accommodating. She made the process of reserving the condo very simple. Our family vacation and celebrating my wife's 40th was amazing. The condo was spacious, offered all of the amenities you would need such as full new modern bathroom with a stand up shower, full service kitchen, 2 large bedrooms and a cozy living room. It had everything we needed. We had my wife, my 3 year old daughter, our 3 month old twins and my in laws. The condo never seemed crowded! The condo is located in the heart of Cape May on the most beautiful street in the city, Jackson Street. You are in walking distance of everything. We never had to drive anywhere. The Washington Street mall is a few steps away to the left with shops and restaurants and the beach is also a few steps away to the right. You are in the middle of everything. We are very thankful to have found the Rose Condo and have built a relationship with the owners. Growing up, my parents took me to Cape May every summer to vacation. Now I can certainly do the same with my children while staying at the Rose Condo. We absolutely loved our stay and we will certainly be back! One last thing, make sure to check out the outside shower! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

My family, with a teenager, loved the Rose Suite. It was our first stay at the Puffin House. The suite was updated and clean and came with a fully stocked kitchen. There was an outdoor shower and a beautiful updated bathroom. Jackson Street has some of the oldest and most beautiful Victorian homes in Cape May. The beautiful street is lined with the original gas street lights. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the horse and carriages walk by while sipping wine. We were just a few houses away from the shops and the beach so we rarely needed to use our car. Other family members would meet at our place to start or end the evening. Very Good Cape May Gem

The Rose Suite at the Puffin is a wonderful venue at a competitive reasonable price . It has everything one needs to provide for a great home away from home. The master bedroom is wonderful with its five windows adorned with lovely lace curtains and oak furniture. The overhead fan really does a fantastic job cooling off the room. Because of the windows the room is very comfortable. We did not use the other bedroom except for the closet and dresser; it has one window and an overhead fan. It too is a pretty room which is smaller than the master bedroom. The living area has an extremely comfortable sectional and a TV. That room has two windows and an overhead fan. We ate out most of the time ,however, you can cook if need be. It really was perfect for us (2) . The condo is immaculate- cleaner than clean. That means so much. Also the central air works very well and cools the place quickly. Look at the website and checkout the photos. They are true to form. The Puffin has a large front porch with lots of comfortable seating. I loved sitting out there people watching, reading , or using the computer because there are electrical outlets. The lovely porch is a big draw for us. We love it. The house is extremely close to the beach and the pedestrian mall. Across the street there is a wonderful restaurant, The Mad Batter, which is very good. The breakfasts are great. Tisha's restaurant is very good and very close. Cape May has fantastic restaurants;you can't go wrong . Most are within walking distance. Parking is a must at any venue, and the suite has its own parking spot in the back. Navigating getting out is quite a trick, however, other parking is offered a short two blocks down the road. That is perfect. I believe that the condo is more suited for three people, but four would be manageable. It was perfect for the two of us. It really is a great condo. I would have liked more room in the living area, but again it was perfect for two or three. Going to Cape May is like going home and the Rose is an ideal shore condo; I know that we will rent again next year. I can't wait to go back. It may have to be before next summer. Try it you won't be disappointed. It's a Cape May keeper!!!!!

“Cape May Fall Get Away Weekend”

We spend a long weekend the end of September in Cape May at the Puffin "Rose Suite." The "Rose Suite" is a two bedroom, nicely furnished, fully equipped kitchen, suite on the second floor of a beautiful Victorian home. The master bedroom is large, with a comfortable bed, and it has a front view to the street. We ended up not needed the second bedroom, but it was nice to have additional space. This suite gave us views to all sides of the house. That added to the spacious and home-like feel. After walking to dinner at a nearby restaurant, we enjoyed spending time relaxing on the wrap around porch with a glass of wine. We shared the space with other house guests and enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them. The Puffin is perfectly located between the beach and the cute downtown area. It is a short block walk to either location. Restaurants of all types are located on Jackson Street, in the downtown area, and along the beach. We were able to walk everywhere (beach, restaurants, and shopping). If you have bikes bring them. We enjoyed a bike ride to the lighthouse on Cape May Point and the surrounding areas. It gets a bit crowded riding in town and getting out in the open country was nice. We attended the Sea Glass Exhibit that was held at the Convention Center during the weekend we visited. That was a nice addition to our stay. We will definitely be coming back to Cape May to stay at the "Rose Suite." Bev was so easy and helpful to work with. It was a perfect suite for my husband and myself. This was our first visit to the area and it was a fun Fall get away.

“great location, great suite

This lovely suite is located directly across the street from the Virginia Hotel. This means it is incredibly convenient to the beach, the mall, bike rentals, and many restaurants and shops. The suite has two very nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and a living area containing a full, small kitchen. There is parking on-site but the spaces are tight so bring a small car. You can park your car off-site but you will need to walk two blocks to the car. We love Cape May, have stayed here at least 75 times, and this was probably the nicest suite and location we have ever rented. We stayed in the shoulder season and you might hear some street noise during the busy summer season. It was not a problem in early June.

Rose Suite a Rose of a Place

We stayed for the week of June 22. The suite was everything advertised. Very nice touches and all the charm of Victorian Cape May. The location was fantastic. Right across from the Virginia Hotel and Mad Batter. The houses on the street are all different and interesting. The porch of the Puffin was very welcoming and we spent our mornings there people watching. The porch has chairs, table and sofas and many ceiling fans for comfort and lots of hanging baskets of flowers. The suite came with 5 beach tags and parking for two cars-- one spot behind the Puffin and the other a short walk to the public parking lot. There is an outside shower and under the porch beach chairs that were available for us to use. The Rose Suite is on the second floor but an easy climb. The stairs are carpeted with oriental rugs and we did not hear noise from our neighbors at all. We were in Cape May for a wedding at Congress Hall which is one block away, so close that during the reception I walked back to get my cell phone charger and use the facilities, and it was probably quicker than the time I would have had to wait in line to use the ladies room at Congress Hall. So many really good places for breakfast, lunch and dinner are within one block, including Georges, Hot Dog Tommys, the Ebbitt Room, Mad Batter, Tish's. YB Eats to name a few. We called the owners for help getting onto their wifi and found them very responsive and helpful. We rented our lines through them and that was just great, nice towels and no need to pack bulky items. The kitchen had a full sized refrigerator and stove, dishwasher, microwave. The cabinets were generously stocked. I highly recommend the Rose Suite at Puffin.

The suite was so adorable and suited us perfectly and the location could not have been better with shopping and restaurants a block away or even as close as just across the street! The downstairs neighbors were helpful with restaurant suggestions and where to park (try to avoid parking a large SUV in the spot behind the house - it is a tight fit but can be made easy if your friends are great at helping navigate out of it!). The suite was super clean and the pullout couch was so unbelievably comfortable! And the Rose Suite itself was beautifully maintained and decorated, had all of the modern amenities we needed balanced with a warm and homey feel. Having two little kids, we had to stay at home each evening, but enjoyed doing so because the accommodations were so comfortable and charming.
